Clonakilla is one of those great Australian stories; an Irish family migrate to Australia, a scientist takes every opportunity that the lucky country affords. Some forty years later the Clonakilla Shiraz stands as one of the great success stories of Australian wine and one of the most important developments in Australian shiraz in recent years.
When we started the website the Clonakilla logo and wine labels were already firmly established. The look and feel of the bottles is clean and minimalistic; in fact quite conservative. But that look belies the truth behind the Clonakilla story – the Kirk family, led by father John and son Tim, are proven innovators and leaders.
